- For a beginner, pick one of the smaller DIY solar panel kits for beginners. Treat it as a learning tool, and don't plan to power your house with it until you understand the permit and inspection process.
- For an EV charging app, start with data. Use the AFDC to get started, and build a way to verify station status before you design the pretty map.
And before you approve anything, verify current specs and lead times on the Eaton portal. Prices change, product lines change, and the last thing you want is a budget based on a price from 2023.
Bottom Line: Stop Asking for the Best
There's something satisfying about a quote that matches the invoice. That doesn't happen by accident. It happens when you check the spec sheet, ask about hidden fees, and compare total cost of ownership.
The "best" power product is a myth. The product that fits your budget, your site, and your risk tolerance is real. If someone won't tell you where their recommendation stops working, they're not advising you—they're selling you.
